orbit

the gravitational pull

of our own little lives

keeps us stuck

in a decaying orbit

around our own little world

until that orbit is disrupted

by something or someone

and we are finally able to see

how limited our vision had become

we were living unto ourselves

without even knowing it

a grace disguised has shaken us

and given us a new set of eyes

it has granted us a new way

of seeing and of being

that allows us to break free

from the pull of our old ways

and chart a new course to

beautiful worlds yet unknown
